Some leaders walk into a room with authority. Others carry something even greater—light.

For over 18 years in the museum and arts world, Tamar has been that light. From Nashville to Virginia Beach, she has built spaces where culture, resilience, and faith are preserved and celebrated. Currently, she serves as Chief of Staff at The Museum of Black Women Innovators (MOBWI) and ARDX, shaping strategy while championing community and creativity.

When asked how her faith shows up in executive spaces, Tamar shared:

“I have always carried light with me on my journey.”

Her colleagues once called her office the “Zen Den”—a place of peace, fragrance, and art—even in the chaos of COVID. That presence is a reflection of her leadership style: listening more than speaking, leading with authenticity, and ensuring people walk away knowing they are valued.

Tamar hopes her influence helps women see “authenticity, love, care, resilience—and themselves.” She reminds us that resilience is not reactionary but a choice to lead proactively, with Christ at the center.

✨ Please join us in celebrating Tamar—a powerful advocate for faith, culture, and the arts.
