Known and Seen: Why the Best Organizations Never Lose Sight of Their People

Observations on the Leadership of President Sarah Hummel at Seapointe College

President Sarah Hummel at Seapointe College

"She never wanted it to become so big that she wouldn't know her students."

Those are the words Seapointe Fellow Michelle Correa Tynes uses to describe Dr. Sarah Hummel.

Another student, Daniela Cox, offers a different perspective. She describes Dr. Hummel as "a person that looks out for the good of everyone," adding, "God intended for us to live in community."

Neither woman begins by talking about degrees, titles, or accomplishments.

Instead, they describe how she made them feel.

That may be one of the greatest measures of leadership.
